Preparation method
Dissolve high-purity zinc acetate in water, add high-purity ammonium carbonate solution under stirring, and convert zinc acetate into zinc carbonate precipitate. Filter ZnCO3, wash with water several times, dry it in a 100*C oven, and burn it to obtain high-purity zinc oxide. Alternatively, dissolve high-purity zinc nitrate in water, add high-purity ammonia water under continuous stirring, and convert ZnN03 into Zfl(OH)2 precipitate. Filter Zn(OH)2, wash with hot water, drain it, dry it, and then heat it to 500-800℃ and burn it to obtain high-purity zinc oxide.
Applications
Paints and coatings: Zinc oxide is used as a pigment and additive in paints and coatings. It has the effects of anti-corrosion, anti-mildew, anti-ultraviolet and improving the durability of the coating. It is widely used in construction and automotive coatings.
Agriculture: Zinc oxide is used as a trace element additive in fertilizers to improve plant growth, supplement the zinc required by crops, and increase crop yield and quality.
Pharmaceutical industry: Zinc oxide is often used in ointments and anti-inflammatory agents. It has the effects of astringency, antibacterial and accelerated wound healing. It is often used in the treatment of skin diseases such as eczema, acne and diaper rash.
