This product is compatible with resins such as polyvinyl chloride, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, polyvinyl butyral, cellulose acetate butyrate, cellulose nitrate, ethyl cellulose, polymethyl methacrylate, polystyrene, etc., but is incompatible with cellulose acetate and polyvinyl acetate. The plasticizing efficiency of this product is the same as that of DOP, but its cold resistance, weather resistance, volatility resistance and stability of plastic paste viscosity are better than DOP, and its electrical insulation is slightly worse than DOP. Due to its high price, it is not widely used. This product is a non-toxic plasticizer and can be used to make food packaging materials. This product is also used as a solvent and gas chromatography stationary liquid.
This product is the most widely used plasticizer. Except for cellulose acetate and polyvinyl butyral, it has good compatibility with most synthetic resins and rubbers used in industry.
